Dorothy Anne (Shank) McNamar of Bend died Thursday of cancer. She was 76.

A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Bateman Funeral Chapel in Newport. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Waldport Cemetery in Waldport.

Mrs. McNamar was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Sheridan, Wyo., to Marvin and Effie Shank. She graduated from Willamina High School in 1946 and attended Eugene Business College. She married Roy McNamar on Jan. 31, 1947, in Willamina.

Mrs. McNamar worked as a credit union manager. She was a member of Women of the Moose and the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars. She enjoyed golf, photographing coastal scenes, beach combing, gardening, walking her dog and traveling.

Survivors include a son, Dennis of Harrisburg; two daughters, Patricia Griggs of Eugene and Jeanne Ziegler of Bend; a brother, Dwight Shank of Tigard; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
