‘O.B.’ Selmer Bendix

”O.B.” Selmer Bendix of Prineville died Friday. He was 90.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Prineville.

Mr. Bendix was born March 8, 1915, in Wanderoos, Wis., to Olaf and Selma (Anderson) Bendix. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Doris Bendix on Dec. 6, 1947. He later married Thelma Myrmo on Aug. 29, 1998, in Prineville.

Mr. Bendix worked for G.S.A. Building Maintenance. He was a member of VFW and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, visiting the senior center and dancing.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Myhre of Gresham; three sisters, Violet, Joyce and Eloise; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both wives, four brothers and one sister.

Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
