The old cafe building has been razed, and Bend franchise owner Bobby Grover is building his third local Dutch Bros. Coffee outlet on the site at the corner of Wilson Avenue and Third Street.

The new shop will be a drive-through-only coffee and espresso stand, with bagels, muffins and other items available on the side, Grover said.

Dutch Bros. is a Grants Pass-based chain founded in 1992 by dairy farmers Dane and Travis Boersma. Its 73 current locations are concentrated in the Pacific Northwest, but the firm plans to expand north into British Columbia, south to the Mexican border and east to the Rocky Mountains, according to the company’s Web site.
