Anne-Marie Glover has been named development associate for the Central Oregon office of the Alzheimer’s Association. A grant from the Meyer Memorial Trust Foundation provided the funds for the position.
Glover has a background in sales and marketing. Most recently, she worked as executive director for Youth ArtWorks, a nonprofit company. ArtWorks trains young people to create professional artwork and provides the community with public art to reduce graffiti and vandalism. She also worked at Planet Hollywood and Hyatt Regency.

The Association is a primary resource for programs and services to those dealing with the fatal degenerative disease of the brain. Core services include information and referral, education programs, care consultation, support groups and a program that helps in the safe and timely return of people with dementia who become lost. A recent grant from The Oregon Community Foundation – Robert W. Chandler Fund, F. J. Hodecker Family Fund, Jerome S. and Barbara Bischoff Fund – will allow expansion of these services. Vicky MacRitchie has been elected president of Central Oregon Mediation (COM). MacRitchie has a local counseling practice and is also a trained mediator. She is a member of the St. Charles Foundation Board and the Oregon Mediation Association.
MacRitchie says she wants to raise awareness of the value of mediation in the areas of neighbor relationships, workplace conflicts, consumer/business disputes, family/relationship conflicts, landlord/tenant disputes and to support local mediation training programs.

Ann Havelock and Linda Ayling, of ATLAST Haircut/Personal Image Magazine, attended a Fleuridas Beauty Supply seminar in Las Vegas on Nov. 15. ATLAST is a new publication created for the beauty industry that targets people ages 45 and up. Havelock, who also owns Ms. Ann’s Above Average Hair Styling, was invited by the salon’s new distributor, Fleuridas, to introduce ATLAST to sales representatives from around the U.S.
