Jerome G. Glatzmaier

Jerome G. Glatzmaier of Bend died Monday of natural causes. He was 82.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Bend.
Mr. Glatzmaier was born in Yakima, Wash., to John and Amelia Glatzmaier. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and in the State Guard during the Korean War. He married Tina Glatzmaier.
Mr. Glatzmaier farmed in Park Rapids, Minn., for many years. He later worked as a boiler engineer for Spokane, Wash., area schools until he retired. He moved to Bend five years ago.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lyle of Browning, Mont., Mark of Helena, Mont., and Brian of Spokane; three daughters, Gloria Decker of Park Rapids, Cecelia Moorhead of Bend and Celeste of Spokane; two brothers; three sisters; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul of Bend.
