Margaret Angeline Brown of Prineville died Dec. 20. She was 93.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Prineville Presbyterian Church. Pastor Cheryl Ann Bourne will officiate.

Mrs. Brown was born Oct. 1, 1912, in Minneapolis to Michael and Hannah (Walker) Brazil. She attended four years of college at Ventura Junior College and the University of California-Los Angeles. She married Stanley Brown on Sept. 26, 1937, in Ventura, Calif. She and her husband moved to Prineville in 1951.

Mrs. Brown established the Brown Ranch with her husband. She volunteered at the Crook County Library. She was a member of the Camera Club, the Extension Service, the Crook County Garden Club, the Shumia club and was a floral judge at many county fairs throughout Oregon. She enjoyed traveling all over the world, reading, gardening and floral design.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat McKenzie of Madras; a brother, Robert Brazil of Irving, Calif.; a sister, Shirley Neuhaus of Ruidoso Downs, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, a sister and a grandson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Margaret A. Brown Memorial Fund at the Crook County Library.

Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
