Melissa Anne Smith of Bend died Dec. 21 of cancer. She was 28.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bend Church of the Nazarene.

Miss Smith was born Feb. 17, 1977, in Santa Cruz, Calif., to Webb and Sharon (Wilson) Smith. She attended Bend High School and the Institute of Healing Arts.

Miss Smith worked as a massage therapist and restaurant worker. She enjoyed dancing, movies, music, family and friends.

Survivors include her parents, Webb of Prineville and Sharon of Bend; three brothers, Craig of Jacksonville, Fla., Todd of Redmond and Ray of Bend; and a grandmother, Verda of Bend.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central Oregon Home Health and Hospice.
