Dennis ”Denny” L. Murphy of La Pine died Friday. He was 61.

No services will be held.

Mr. Murphy was born June 29, 1944, in Bridgeport, Ill., to Leon and Jennie (Steen) Murphy. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961 to 1963. He married Shirley Moon on March 4, 1991, in Stevenson, Wash.

Mr. Murphy worked as a cement truck driver. He was a past member of the American Legion of La Pine. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Bridget Callahan, April Knuth and Sherry Lemons, all of Carson, Wash., Treasa Berge of Waldron, Ark., and Katy Potter of Helena, Mont.; his mother, Jennie Irvine of Carson; and nine grandchildren.
