The editors of Parents Magazine and producers of ”Live with Regis and Kelly” chose a blue-eyed toddler from Picayune, Miss., as the winner of the show’s Beautiful Baby Search on Friday.

Luke Oldmixon, 2, beat Dylan Byrd, 2, of Bend, and three other contestants to be featured on a cover of Parents Magazine and win a cash prize of $3,000. Dylan and the other babies will receive $500 as runners up in the talk show’s annual contest.

”The decision was based on the photo shoot,” said Sally Lee, an editor of Parents, on a live broadcast of the show. ”It took one great photo and one great smile. It was a tough decision.”

The Byrds could not be reached for comment on Friday.
