Jerry and Marilyn Seed of Bend celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. A reception will be held in July.

The couple were married Feb. 18, 1956, in Salem. They had four children, Brian, Jodi and Jolene, all of Bend, and James, who died as an infant; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Seed bought Ostrander’s Country Furniture in Bend in 1976. The store later became Jerry’s Home Furnishings, and is now The Mattress Factory.

They have lived in Central Oregon for nearly 30 years.
