Cox named to region’s workforce board

Tim Cox, director of business services for Housing Works in Redmond, was recently appointed to The Central Oregon Workforce Investment Board. Cox has more than 13 years of experience in business and accounting. The Central Oregon Workforce Investment Board coordinates the region’s work force-related services, which include recruitment, personnel, financial and business services, and training and education. Offices are located in Bend, La Pine, Prineville and Redmond.
Bruce Humphreys, a nurse at St. Charles Medical Center-Bend, has been elected president of the Oregon Nurses Association. Humphreys has been with ONA for 18 years in various capacities. For the past seven years, he served on ONA’s board of directors, including as vice president. A nurse of 20 years, Humphreys is the second male nurse in ONA’s history to be elected president and the first St. Charles nurse to hold the office.

Bend residents Bob and Jewel Payne and Devon Hiskey and family have been named residential ”Recyclers of the Year” by Bend Garbage and Recycling. A. L. and Sandra Gregg and Mark and Becky Gerdes were named by High Country Disposal as Redmond’s residential winners.
Jon Burgi has joined David Evans and Associates’ civil engineering team in the Bend office. Burgi has more than five years of experience in water resources, public works and general civil engineering.
Michelle A. Loftsgard, of Bend, has joined Mid Oregon Credit Union as sales manager for Central Oregon. Prior to joining the credit union, Loftsgard served as assistant relationship manager at Umpqua Bank in Bend.
Lynne Herbert has been named regional director for Trillium Family Services’ Central Oregon children’s mental health care programs. Herbert joined Trillium Central Oregon as clinical director a year ago and before that served as clinical director for the Namaste Child and Family Development Center residential treatment program in Albuquerque, N.M.
Ed Victor, Mike Alexander, Thomas Davis and Melissa Ann Edwards, all real estate brokers, have joined Windermere in Bend. Jennifer Craig, real estate broker, has joined Windermere in Redmond. Amy Lovis and Aleta Sarno have joined the Bea Leach team in the Windermere Redmond office.
The Advertising Federation of Central Oregon has elected Lynette Braillard, Geoff Clark, Mike Glover, Jeff Martin, Tim Olson, Molly Renner, Aileen Walker, and Minta Woll to its 2006-07 board of directors.
