Gibson

J. Pat and Marie (McAvoy) Gibson, of Bend, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family reunion and reception at Black Butte Ranch.

The couple were married Sept. 1, 1956, in Brooklyn, N.Y. They have five children, Catherine (and Kent) Wilken, of Davis, Calif., Rob (and Deidra), of Portland, Anne (and Larry) Reitz, of Bend, Stephen (and Erin Elhan), of Philadelphia, and David (and Anita), of Kathmandu, Nepal; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Gibson worked for BICC Cable Corp. in New York. He retired in 1995.

Mrs. Gibson worked for Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. She retired in 2000. She is a member of the League of Women Voters.

The couple are active in The Hunger Prevention Coalition. They enjoy hiking and snowshoeing.

The couple has lived in Central Oregon for six years.
