Barbara ”Jeanie” Jean Fugate, of La Pine, died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 64.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Glide Community Hall in Glide.

Ms. Fugate was born Jan. 20, 1942, in Hanford, Calif., to John and Mable (Hixon) Cooper. She graduated from high school in Klamath, Calif.

Ms. Fugate worked as a clerk for Kmart in Roseburg for more than 12 years. She enjoyed fishing, crafts, cross-stitching and spending time with family.

Survivors include three sons, Pokey, of La Pine, Scott, of Springfield, and Lance, of La Pine; a daughter, Kim Rokus, of Roseburg; a brother, Dean Cooper, of Hanford; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
