Frank Harold Sargent, of Bend, died Sunday of natural causes. He was 85.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Des-chutes Memorial Mausoleum Chapel.

Mr. Sargent was born May 16, 1921, in Laconia, N.H., to Herman and Dorothy Sargent. He married Shirlee Combs in 1948 in Eugene.

Mr. Sargent served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for The Flying Tigers for 30 years. He retired in 1976. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and real estate.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Don, of Redmond; a daughter, Pamela Carey, of Jackson, N.J.; and a brother, Phil, of Bend.

He was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
