Panthers garner all-league honors

REDMOND – Four members of the 2006 Redmond High boys soccer team have been selected to the Central Valley Conference all-league squad.

Senior midfielder Tanner Robertson, who led the Panthers in scoring with nine goals, earned first-team recognition in a vote of league coaches. Junior midfielder Clinton Cranston was selected to the second team, and senior midfielder Shane Menold and junior defender Terry Miller received honorable mention.

Juan Gonzalez, a junior striker from league-champion South Salem, was selected the CVC’s player of the year. Eric Johansen of South Salem and Kyle Gouveia of West Salem were named co-coaches of the year. McKay won the league’s sportsmanship award.
