Boyskout, JUICE return to The Grove

Still working on your Watch A Queercore New Wave Band merit badge? Tonight is your chance to make sure you get that patch at the next den meeting by checking out Boyskout at The Grove.
A lot has happened to Boy- skout since the band was last in Bend in November. The mostly female lineup has shuffled (again), and the group has relocated from San Francisco to New York City. But founder Leslie Satterfield is still steering the ship, which means Boyskout still makes slinky, sexy indie-pop that sounds like Elastica waking up from a long night in the darkest corner of the club. Check ’em out at www.boyskout.com.
The show is a special Friday night installment of the Hi-Top Sessions, which means resident DJs Lacuna and Ali-Sun will be on hand spinning top-notch dance tunes. Showtime is 10 p.m. and cover is $6.
On Saturday night, the JUICE drum-and-bass party returns to The Grove with Breakbeat Science answer man and Offshore Recordings guru DJ Clever manning the turntables. Supporting will be Chris Coda from Portland. Tickets are $6 and the show starts at 10 p.m.
The Grove is located at 1033 N.W. Bond St., in Bend.
