Redmond concert series tickets go on sale Tuesday

Subscriptions for the 2007-08 Redmond Community Concert Association’s concert series go on sale Tuesday.

The series will bring six artists (See ”What you get,” below) to Redmond High School’s auditorium on Sunday afternoons starting at the end of September and ending in April 2008. Each artist will play a 2 and a 6 p.m. show, and doors will open 45 minutes prior.

A subscription to the series covers all six concerts and costs $50 for adults, $20 for students and $105 for families. Tickets can be purchased by calling 350-7222 or via PayPal at www.redmondcca.org.

* Sept. 30: Side Street Strutters, a seven-piece band with a repertoire that covers a century of jazz, Dixieland, blues and big-band music.

* Nov. 18: Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem, a hip string band that specializes in Americana music highlighted by sweet harmonies.

* Jan. 13: Ebony and Ivory, a duo that blends jazz, ragtime and Broadway.

* Feb. 3: Sara Buechner, a classical pianist that has not only the chops to wow audiences, but also the winning personality.

* March 16: Franc D’Ambrosia, a vocal master who has played the title role in ”The Phantom of the Opera” more than 3,000 times.

* April 20: Everything Fitz, a family band from Canada that mixes French Canadian and American music with old-time style, fine fiddling and step dancing.
