The Old Stone Church at 157 N.W. Franklin Ave. in Bend will open for a special show by New Age artist Snatam Kaur tonight. The show is part of Kaurs ongoing Celebrate Peace Tour, a live musical celebration of the spirit of peace that Kaur believes is in each and every one of us.

Kaur, who is Sikh, was born in Colorado and spent most her early years in California, where she meditated and chanted with her parents. She also traveled to India, where she studied music under Bhai Hari Singh and soaked in the sound of kirtan, or devotional music of the Sikh faith.

Now living in Eugene, she has recorded seven albums for the Spirit Voyage label. The albums are influenced by both Eastern and Western traditions and feature Kaurs pure, pretty voice.
