IKEA is planning to open its Portland store July 25 at 9 a.m. The mega home-furnishings retailer will occupy a new 280,000-square-foot building painted its signature yellow and blue on 19 acres at Interstate 205 and Airport Way. This will be the Swedish company’s second Pacific Northwest store – the other is in Renton, Wash. – and 31st store in the United States. In the Portland store, IKEA will offer 10,000 exclusive items in 50 room settings.
