Richard 'Dick' Trees

Richard “Dick” Trees, of Bend, died July 11. He was 70.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 11 at Penny Sturdivant Park in Coquille.

Mr. Trees was born May 23, 1937, in Kennewick, Wash., the son of Thomas and Frankie (Lewis) Trees. He attended college. He married Olive Trees on March 10, 1974, in Reno, Nev.

Mr. Trees served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an auto body technician, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, the Masonic Lodge, South Coast Cruisers and the Shriners. He enjoyed fishing, old cars, hunting and vintage haulers.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Staci, of Bend, Lisa, of Nashville, Tenn., and Rachel, Debbi and Toni, all of Myrtle Point; two brothers, Jim, of Portland, and Frank, of Reedsport; a sister, Paula, of Sunland, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to Oregon First Community Credit Union to place a bench at Penny Sturdivant Park in Coquille.
