Bend photographer Kevin Kubota is offering scholarships to professional and motivated amateur photographers for a number of his upcoming photography workshops.

Kubota’s photography “bootcamps” are multi-day events that teach the technical skills required to run a digital portrait and wedding studio as well as develop style and creativity. A scholarship includes full program fee plus lodging and all meals, a $2,195 value.

The next bootcamp is Oct. 7-12 in Bend.

Kubota is owner of Kubota Photo Design and Kubota Image Tools and was also recently named one of the 10 best wedding photographers in the world by American Photo magazine.

To apply, photographers should e-mail kecia@kubotaimagetools.com with a one-page letter explaining why they should be considered for the scholarship. A description of any charity work they do (whether using photography or not) should be included. Submissions must also include a portfolio of 20 image samples, no larger than 750 by 750 pixels at 72 dots per inch.
