Famed storyteller set for Redmond

Grammy-nominated storyteller Diane Ferlatte will give presentations in Central Oregon on Thursday and Friday.
Ferlatte has traveled the globe sharing her personal stories as well as the traditional tales of African-American culture.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, Ferlatte will present “The Missing Rib, The Spirit of Women” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Redmond High School. Tickets are $10, and proceeds benefit the American Association of University Women. Contact: 633-0238.
Ferlatte also will perform at 11 a.m. Friday at the Redmond Public Library. “Knick Knack Paddy Whack” is a playful blending of songs and stories and is appropriate for young children and families. This event is free. Contact: 312-1032.
