Mini PPP chooses logo

Artwork by High Lakes Elementary School third-grader Sadie Ann Gorman has been chosen as the official logo of the for the 2008 Mini Pole Pedal Paddle T-shirt.

Gorman’s design, which shows a shoe, paddle, a wheel and a road cone contained within a bright, yellow sun, was chosen from 45 entries. She will be awarded with gift certificates from Teva, Albertsons and Saxon’s Fine Jewelers, plus a pizza party for her class at Round Table Pizza.

Other entries recognized came from Seven Peaks School fourth-grader Paul Rodgers, Highland Elementary School third-grader Skyler Howe, Trinity Lutheran School sixth-grader McKenzie Crew and St. Francis of Assisi School first-grader Bridget Roe. Each will receive watches from Saxon’s and gift certificates from Albertsons, Teva and Round Table Pizza.

The Mini Pole Pedal Paddle for kids will be held May 18 at the Les Schwab Amphitheater in Bend. Teams of first- through sixth-graders will compete in river rafting, biking, running and an obstacle course.
