Three Cups of Tea author reschedules

Jefferson County Community Read has changed to Friday, May 16, to accommodate “Three Cups of Tea” author David Oliver Relin, who will not be back from Nepal on the originally scheduled date, May 2.

“Three Cups” was co-written with Greg Mortenson, a mountaineer who fell ill and was taken in by Pakistani villagers after a failed attempt to climb K2 in the early ’90s. He vowed to the impoverished people there that he would return to build a school. So far, he’s built about 60 of them.

Relin’s next book is about two Sherpas, according to Ruth Ann Hopps, the organizer of Jefferson County Community Read.
