F.N. ‘Buzz’ Koehler

F.N. “Buzz” Koehler died Saturday. He was 87.

No services are planned at this time.

Mr. Koehler was born May 18, 1920, in Weyerhaeuser, Wis., the son of Joseph and Dawn Koehler. He was a high school graduate and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, attaining the rank of technical sergeant. He married Eileen De Lla Santa on June 6, 1948, in Dos Palos, Calif.

Mr. Koehler farmed on his Dos Palos ranch, retiring in 1975. He moved to Bend in 1997. He was affiliated with the Lions Club, he was a volunteer fireman, and he served on the board of directors for the Farmer’s Rice Co-op in California. He enjoyed hunting, golf, sports, fishing and traveling with his wife in their fifth wheel.

Survivors include two sons, William, of San Francisco, and Robert, of Bend; a daughter, Franceen Mebane, of Medford; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and three sisters.

Deschutes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
