Kenneth Meredith, of Bend, died Monday of mesothelioma. He was 86.
No services are planned.
Mr. Meredith was born Oct. 22, 1921, in Kingfisher, Okla., the son of Truman and Olive (Atwood) Meredith. He graduated from Corvallis High School and attended Oregon State University. He married Mary Fleischmann on April 25, 1944, in Oakland, Calif.
Mr. Meredith enlisted in the U.S. Navy Air Corps in 1942. He served in the Pacific for more than three years.
He was an electrician and owned and operated Trico Electric in Corvallis from 1952 to 1981, when he retired.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks, and he was a member of the High Desert Model A Club and First Baptist Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and restoring cars.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard, of Bend; a daughter, Sharon Eppink; two brothers, Craig and Paige, both of Carbondale, Colo.; two sisters, Edna Parmley, of Bend, and Janell Peterson, of Belfair, Wash.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
