Camp Sherman’s Kokanee Cafe , one of Central Oregon’s best-known restaurants, will reopen May 9 for the summer season with a new executive chef. Roscoe Robberson trained under former chef Steven Draheim for the past two years as sous chef at the Kokanee. The Tequila Sunrise restaurant in Culver is holding a grand opening celebration today through Monday, through the informal Cinco de Mayo holiday weekend. Owners Armando and Francesca Pacheco opened the cafe in late February, but postponed the official opening until the approval of their full bar license. The restaurant specializes in Jaliscan regional cuisine. 319 First Ave., Culver; 546-6262.
