Monty Fisher, of Sunriver, died May 4. He was 61.

A celebration of life will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Mary McCallum Park in Sunriver.

Mr. Fisher was born Aug. 16, 1946, in Portland, the son of Jack and Lidia (Ludiker) Fisher. He graduated from high school. He married Marilyn Fisher.

Mr. Fisher served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter. He attended Veterans Affairs meetings. He enjoyed writing, composing, playing and singing music, his dogs and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mathew; and a sister, Jade McCoy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Monty Fisher Memorial Fund at any Bank of the Cascades branch.
