Emily Ann McFarland, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Aaron Michael Lieuallen, of Bothell, Wash., plan to marry in the summer of 2009 in Central Oregon.

The future bride is the daughter of Mark and Joan McFarland, of Madras. She graduated from Madras High School in 2001 and from Oregon State University in 2005. She is a medical student at Des Moines University.

The future groom is the son of Doug and Patty Lieuallen, of Madras. He is a 1998 graduate of Madras High School and a 2003 graduate of Oregon State University, where he studied construction engineering management. He works at CamWest Development Inc.
