PENDLETON — A man is dead after a police shooting in Pendleton.

A Umatilla County District Attorney says an armed confrontation led to an officer shooting 38-year-old Deveron Schreiner, of La Grande, on Thursday.

The county says the man was armed with a semi-automatic handgun during the incident and died from a single gunshot wound at the scene.
