The Deschutes Public Library system has extended its DPL Digital Downloads with downloadable video at http://ebooks .dpls.lib.or.us. Users can check out and download videos from the comfort of home, enjoying titles on a PC, laptop or a supported portable device.
Patrons have around-the-clock access to a collection of more than 660 video titles, including documentaries, stand-up comedy, classics and horror films.

Downloadable videos use OverDrive Media Console, the same software some patrons are already using with audio books. At the end of the seven-day lending period, the titles automatically expire; there are no late fees.
