A fundraiser for the Bend South Little League 10-11 All-Star baseball team is set for this Sunday. The team recently won the Oregon District 5 tournament championship to advance to the 10-11 state tournament, to be held July 16-20 at Alpenrose Stadium in Portland.

To raise money to help offset the costs of travel, meals and lodging for players and coaches, the team is staging a combination car wash and barbecue (hot dogs and beverages). The team also will accept donations of returnable bottles and cans.

The fundraiser will take place in Bend at Erickson’s Thriftway, 725 N.E. Greenwood Ave. It starts at noon and will run through the afternoon.
