Beginning this Friday, a volunteer park host will be available at Farewell Bend Park on Friday, Saturday and some Sunday afternoons to offer river safety tips and trail and park information, according to a Bend Metro Park and Recreation District news release.

Visitors can find the park host at a kiosk near the Bill Healy Memorial Bridge, near the covered shelter. The park host will be available through Aug. 31.
