Horse health classes: Offered in Bend, Redmond and Prineville through Central Oregon Community College’s Community Learning program. Learn from a local veterinarian about horse nutrition, vital signs, recognizing emergency situations, bandaging and first aid, vaccinations, and health problems such as colic and founder. Use your new knowledge to create a basic health care routine to keep your horse well. Six weekday evening sessions at locations in Bend, Redmond and Prineville. PARELLI HORSE-MAN-SHIP CLINICS: Presented by Marc Rea, a licensed Three Star instructor, the two-day clinic is for Advancing Level 2 and will be held at Tumalo Reservoir Trails Ranch, 18465 Pinehurst Road in Bend. Space is limited; call to reserve a spot. Clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Cost is $400 for the two-day clinics; a $100 deposit holds rider spots. Cost for auditors is $25 per day.
