BEAVERTON — Oregon’s high-tech giant Tektronix is laying off about 150 workers in the Beaverton area. The company says it must prepare for tougher times in 2009. It says laid-off workers will get severance pay, medical benefits and help finding another job.

Tektronix has operations in 19 countries. It supplies test, measurement, and monitoring products and services for the communications, computer and semiconductor industries.
