EUGENE — The Eugene Police Department has become the 11th law enforcement agency in Oregon to launch an online crime statistics tool that updates a map of crimes, incidents and service calls each hour.

Users can click on logos on the map that read “A” for assault, “B” for breaking and entering, “R” for robbery and “TV” for “theft from vehicle” to learn what’s happening in their neighborhood.

The program is provided through CrimeReports.com and costs about $200 a month.
