The Paper Factory, which has been in the Bend Factory Stores since 1993, is closing at the conclusion of business Sunday because the store’s parent company is not renewing the shop’s lease, according to manager E.J. Hagedorn, who has managed the store since its opening.

“We’ve been here almost since the beginning” of the mall, Hagedorn said. “I’m proud of our store, and I’m proud of the service we’ve given to the community.”

The party store, which sells items such as paper plates, napkins, piñatas, gift wrap, balloons and cards, will operate from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday before locking the doors.
