KLAMATH FALLS — A Chiloquin woman has pleaded guilty to manslaughter after killing her husband with a shotgun.

The plea deal will send 58-year-old Christine Skallerud to prison for 10 years.

She shot 51-year-old Brent Skallerud at their home in July 2007 before calling police to say her husband was dead.

The Klamath County district attorney’s office agreed to the plea deal after her defense attorney argued that Skallerud was the victim of domestic violence.
