Eastern Oregon man indicted in murder plot

PENDLETON — An Eastern Oregon man accused of plotting to murder three sex abuse victims ready to testify at his trial has been indicted on charges involving soliciting murder and witness tampering.

The East Oregonian newspaper in Pendleton reported that a Umatilla County Grand Jury indicted 32-year-old Arthur Wayne Blood, of Stanfield, on charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated murder, solicitation to commit aggravated murder and witness tampering.

Blood had already faced multiple sex crime charges, including child sexual abuse, child pornography, sodomy, rape and sexual assault of an animal.

A Umatilla County circuit judge is considering a defense request to move the trial to another county.
