When your big, tall SUV needs a shower

Car shoppers continue to pick some type of sport utility wagon or minivan for family transportation because these vehicles contain vast space for hauling riders and gear.

The downside also concerns the size of these wagons. They stretch long and wide and rise high, which means a driver must steer them carefully.

Also, they may require a ladder for hiking up to the rooftop when it’s time to scrub off road grit.

When wash day comes for such a big machine, it helps to add a magic time-saver wand.

What we suggest for reaching the roof to scrub a big SUV or minivan or truck is a special washer wand with a flow-thru handle which can suck up soapy water from a wash bucket and deliver it through the wash bonnet to the roof of the SUV.

The device is called the SUV Shower wash system.

Grips on the handle allow for a secure grasp as you operate this wand. At the business end, there’s a large wash bonnet covered in synthetic lambs wool and designed to cradle a lot of water and suds. The brush is so soft it won’t scratch even a delicate clear-coat paint finish, yet it’s great for digging deep into roof gutters or slots on rocker panels to rout out grime.

The wand extends for 52 inches, making the brush end easy to position on the roof of even a tall SUV.

The SUV Shower wash system appears in the Herrington catalog as #M163 for $22.45. To order, call 866-558-7467 or go online to www.herringtoncatalog.com.
