A new Urban GPS Eco-Challenge trip is now being offered in Bend’s Old Mill District.
The trips are staged on the pathways and trails along the Deschutes River through the Old Mill District shops and Farewell Bend Park.
The Urban GPS Eco-Challenge, available daily at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., invites couples, families, and corporate groups to answer questions about the area that will lead them to their next GPS waypoint.
The goal is to solve as many clues and visit as many checkpoints as possible within about three hours.
Cost is $65 per person, which includes a guide, GPS instruction, water, and all materials.
All tours are led by professional naturalist guides through Wanderlust Tours.

Local coaches will provide advice, support, weekly group training runs and walks, and short clinics on topics such as trail safety, proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury.
The eight-week program meets on Sunday mornings from July 19 through Sept. 6 and costs $69. There is a discounted rate of $59 for those who sign up early.
The Xterra Trail races are Sept. 13 on the Deschutes River Trail.
