Saving Grace is hosting a three-week training session for volunteers Oct. 3-24.

The free, 35-hour training will be held over a series of Tuesday and Thursday evenings and three Saturdays.

Trained volunteers will be able to answer hot-line calls, assist shelter residents, facilitate support groups, respond to assault victims at the hospital, work with children and assist at the courthouse. Participants are asked to volunteer a minimum of once a month.
