The Walton Lake Campground was closed for the season Wednesday, according to a news release from the Ochoco National Forest.

A number of improvements are scheduled to be completed by the time the campground reopens next spring. The remodeled campground will include fewer but larger campsites in order to accommodate larger recreational vehicles, new picnic tables and handicapped-accessible facilities.
