PSU social work degree starts in Bend next fall

Portland State Universitys School of Social Work will offer a three-year masters degree in social work starting fall 2010 in Bend. The classes will be offered at the universitys local office in north Bend.
The program will feature Friday classes in Bend throughout the three years, as well as online classes and field instruction. Applications for the program are due March 15, and local site coordinator Gary Smith will hold three information meetings about the program next week.
The meetings will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Becky Johnson Community Center, 412 S.W. Eighth St., Redmond; from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Central Oregon Community Colleges Boyle Education Center, 2600 N.W. College Way, Bend; and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Juvenile Community Justice Building 1, 63360 Britta St., Bend.
