Ashley Marx and David Marshall were married Sept. 26 at Palmetto Dunes Resort in Hilton Head Island, S.C. A reception followed at a beach house.

The bride is the daughter of Chris Marx, of McKinney, Texas, and Alysa Gould Marx, of Dallas. She is a 2008 graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she studied general family consumer science.

The groom is the son of Cindy and Larry Marshall, of Bend. He is a 2004 graduate of Mountain View High School and a 2008 graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he studied international relations. He is training with the Marine Corps in Virginia Beach, Va.

They will settle in Camp Pendleton, Calif.
