MARYSVILLE, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol says four people were killed Sunday evening in a collision on State Route 9 northeast of Marysville.
Trooper Keith Leary says all four victims were in a car traveling south on Highway 9 that was struck by another vehicle that had run a stop sign. Leary says the driver of that car initially ran from the scene, but was persuaded by a nearby resident to return. Leary says the driver, who received minor injuries, was arrested for investigation of driving while intoxicated.
Names and hometowns of the victims and the surviving driver were not immediately released.
