Lloyd Matthew Johnson was born May 5, 1961, in Gold Beach, Oregon, to parents Dennis and Nancy-Jane Johnson.

He attended schools in Quinault and Lacey, Washington. He moved with his family to Springfield in 1971 when he was in the 5th grade. He attended Camp Creek Elementary, Briggs Junior High and graduated as 1 of 4 Valedictorians from Thurston High School in 1979. He attended Oregon State and Lane Community College.

He worked for Future Logging and Knechts Auto Parts during his high school years. He became assistant manager for Knechts at the main store in Springfield after graduation. He was employed by McDonald Industries in Eugene, and Mikes Fence in Bend and Eugene. At the time of his death he was employed by Knife River.

In June 2001, he married Coree Johnson in Redmond, OR.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Coree; sons, Cody and Schae Johnson and Garrett Mickalson; daughter, Tiffany Mickalson; brother, Eric Johnson; mother, Nancy-Jane Johnson; family friend, Jack Brown; nephew, Hagen Johnson; parents-in-law, Al and Karen Nielsen; brother- in-law, Luke Nielsen; aunts and uncles, Richard and Ruby Elphick, Martin and Lois Norris, and David and Melody Tuttle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Johnson, grandparents, Algot and Elma Johnson, and Harold and Audrey Tuttle, and cousin, Gary Norris.

A visitation will be held at Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 2 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Niswonger-Reynolds Chapel, 105 NW Irving Ave., Bend.

Lloyd will be laid to rest close to his father at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Eugene, Oregon on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 1 p.m.
