Going camping? Pack a cot for the pooch

Pets who travel with their owners to posh hotels or rustic tents can now bring their own elevated dog beds that resemble small camp cots.
The new Pet Cot from www .kakadupet.com, an Australian company new to the American market, was designed to raise dogs above uncomfortable, damp, hot or uneven surfaces like you might find in the outback. But the easy-to-assemble beds are great for canine travelers anywhere. The design is particularly comfortable for old dogs or dogs with orthopedic issues, as it gently supports them while allowing air circulation underneath.
The beds are made in four sizes for dogs up to 200 pounds. Prices range from $23 to $48 at www.petshed.com.
