Richard (Dick) Baker formerly of Prineville, OR was born in Portland, OR May 25, 1939 and died Dec. 18, 2009 in Desert Center, CA. He graduated from Tigard High School in 1957. In 1959 he married Betty Finley. He was survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Terri Moon of Mulino, Trudy Smith of Redmond; son, Doug Baker, of Oregon City; and seven grand children and four great-grand children. He is also survived by a sister, Sheila Buxman of Colorado Springs, CO.

Through the years, he had enjoyed P.T. Cruiser Club and all the friends he made with it. In 2002, he joined the N.W. Prowlers and enjoyed 7 years in that club. In the early 70s, he went in partnership with Reliable Sanitary Service.

In 1983, he bought a ranch in Antelope. He continued ranching until he was hurt in 1988, then he retired and moved to Reedsport, and then to Prineville. Dick and Betty spent winters in AZ and just moved to CA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Oregon City Evangelical Church, 1024 Lynn Ave., Oregon City.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doernbecher Childrens Hospital.
