Ben and Shelley (Hilliard) Tuma, of Bend, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a surprise party hosted by their children.

The couple were married Dec. 22, 1979, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bend. They have four children, Jayson, Travis, Emily and Cody, all of Bend; and two grandchildren.

The couple owns Automotive Paint Specialties as well as several other businesses in Central Oregon. Mr. Tuma enjoys hunting, fishing and cars. Mrs. Tuma operates Desert Wind Stables and enjoys showing and raising APHA (American Paint Horse Association) horses, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mr. Tuma has lived in Central Oregon for 33 years, and Mrs. Tuma has her entire life.
